I use to wonder why people would quote a video post and write "for iPhone", "for iPad", or "for iPotato". Mine always played the posted video fine.
Around a week ago it stopped playing any imbedded videos. Now I have to use the quoted links. I haven't done anything different to my iPad either.

Same issue, even stranger is that refreshing the page and hitting play quickly usually works.

My Samsung G2 did the same, but I broke it earlier this week and replaced it and the new one plays the embeded videos again.

Mine never used to play them, started working perfectly after the 8.0.2 update, now today all of a sudden has stopped again.
Annoying would be an understatement.

When I did the latest software update, my Ipad became slow with long lag time between execution of commands. It shows a lot of pics as question marks.
Also might have something to do with my wonky overseas internet that keeps switching me into random foreign languages. I think my Ipad is not long for this world. The freezing up for 5 seconds since that last software update is driving me nuts. |

My iPad has gone into s l o w mode since I installed the 8.02 update. I'm going to search how to restore to the 7 OS.

Ah.
While the iPad 2 may be compatible with the iOS 8 update, it's advisable that you don't upgrade. Word is that the bottom of the list (iPhone 4S and iPad 2) run incredibly slow with the new software. |

I have an older ipad 2 on os version 6.1.3, and I have never had an issue with embedded video. I will not upgrade the os since my ipad works fine with this os version. |
