VSP is a fucking gorilla ... but like Digital their marketing sucks

if you truly need tier 1 HDS is the motherfucking shit
for most things 1.5 is good enough hence 3par

The AMS equipment hitachi throws out is nice, there other stuff annoys the piss outta me. 3par are nice and easy to work with with what I do with them. EMC is just as easy though. Some of EMC's newer stuff is pretty nice looking IMO.

If you're talking about VNX, then yes, 3par all the way.

In fact, I'd rather have Joe's Bait, Tackle, and Storage Array's offering than a VNX.

But in no way does a 3par compare with a VMAX.

Both HDS and EMC you got to buy a competing solution to keep honest
if you go all in on either vendor you get fucked

Pretty racks are fairly low on my give a shit meter. The USP racks were downright ugly. I'd just as soon not see anyone other than the install and decommission teams ever walk into my data center.
