Yesterday, I picked up my watch from the jewelry store from being repaired.

I work evenings and called my wife as I was leaving the parking lot to check in with her and tell her that I got the watch, yada yada.

As soon as she answered the phone she was basically freaking out telling me that she got a very nice raise this week after basically coming straight out and asking for one.

This afternoon she comes home from work and had her sad face on...I asked what was wrong and she replied "you are a jackass"

It seems when I came home last night I left the bag from the jewelry store next to her purse on the kitchen table...the store put the watch in a gift bag with tissue paper...

Wife though I got her a gift to celebrate her raise...guess I didn't tell her I picked up my watch.

Take her out for a nice dinner at a fancy place because she got a raise. After dinner, give her the check... Because she got a raise. This shows you are proud of her, but respect her ability to succeed in business on her own. Be sure and let GD know how this turns out!
