So after going fifteen years without having the flu once, I have it now. I get a flu shot every year around mid October, but apparently this year they are already seeing flu around here. Fever was 103 last night and has hung around 101 all day today. This seriously sucks.

That does suck.  What part of AR are you in?  I'm in Little Rock and I hope my shot has kicked in by now.

Northwest corner. My wife, who is a nurse, said they have seen several cases at her clinic. I never get sick. Prior to this, I haven't used a sick day at work in over 8 years. I consider myself to be a pretty tough guy when it comes to most things, but this has turned me into a whiny little baby.

It will build up your immunity so tough it out and don't be a baby. I would not get some government sanctioned mystery fluid injected in me.

If your not immunodeficient or elderly or very young, you should be fine.

Yeah, it sucks. But whatever doesn't kill you, etc.

Too late.

In before "dueling banjos."

I've had the 2 stage flu a few times.
The first stage is when you're afraid you're gonna die.
The second stage is when you're afraid you're not gonna die.

Good luck and get well soon.

Weill I went to the Dr. today. He said I am the first positive type B influenza he has seen this year. I also have pneumonia. Temp hit 103.7 last night. That really sucked. I guess it beats having Ebola though.

If we already have patient zero in the other thread, does that make OP patient one?
