I like the A2 Stock a lot. It's just a good fit for me. I don't wear body armor. I don't get in and out of humvees. It has handy space for some beef jerky. I would think it would make a better club than your average collapsible stock. I have no friends so I don't need the flexibility for other body types. Has a full sized buffer and buffer tube for recoil. And they are cheap used.

I think more people should embrace the A2.

ETA - I should have included the A1/A2 together.

It's a Gen III Rifle length carbon fiber free float forearm from Precision Reflex. I have their SPR Mark 12 Mod 0 clone upper.

http://www.precisionreflex.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1046643&CAT=4824

They have other sizes and colors of it.

Seems like you have quite the compliant AR, there, OP.  Brake instead of flash hider...tiny bullet holder...no bayonet lug...and your glorious A2 stock is fixed.  Dianne Feinstein is pretty fuckin happy with your rifle.

Your clone game is seriously lacking...

A2 is fine, A1 is better. Both suck with armor. CAR > All others.

I prefer the A1 length. If I could find a CS for the right price, I would be all over it. Until then my A1 stays on.

Now for purely target shooting off of a bench or prone off of a pack/bag, the hooked stock rules.

Since I just built my first AR and its a 20incher with an A2 stock I'd say its a pretty darn good stock.  I'm short so I have to lean further in to get close to nose to CH on an A2.  My 6 position isn't hard to do that on for my 16inch AR.

Edit - Added Picture.  Since this iPotato picture I have added a BUIS from Radical Firearms (their polymer one....not too shabby) and moved the optic back as far as she'll go  Still need to add a Sling from Blue Force.  I'll see if I can get a new picture that's better quality soon.

It's an SPR clone. That's what I like.

10 round mags are easier to swap out  on a bench. I have 20 and 30 rounders too.

I don't need a bayonet lug. I don't have a bayonet (well, not one for an AR). WTF would I use one for?

A2/A1 stock is the best stock, so that's all I use.

And the muzzle brake is so I can later screw on a suppressor. Think Feinstein will mind?

The brake

It's mostly subjective, but the non-trapdoor A1's always seemed to feel a little bit better to me. They are also a tad lighter.
