I never thought McConaughey could act for shit, but he pulled it off in TD pretty well.

Colin Farrel can be a good acter. He just does shitty movies. I agree. I thought he did a pretty good job in, In Bruges and Tigerland. I've Only seen In Bruges. Good flick. I have seen some of his shitty movies, and alot of that is on the director for sucking IMO. |

Hope he doesn't play sonny Crockett again,
He was good on phone game and in Bruges |

A lot of people didn't think mcauneghy could do what he did because of all the chick flicks he's famous for, but he's a great actor too. It was such a well made show that it would have been decent with no name actors. With real talent, it can be a great show. I wonder who else they have. |

In Bruges is a great movie, but it's a black comedy, it's not True Detective...which is just black. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Not even a little? No I hear you, but I just rewatched in on Netflix for the first time in a couple years and I gotta say, he really sold it when he was about to kill himself out of guilt. |

I heard it was star of Dodgeball, Vince Vaughn. |

I avoided the first season because it was McConaughey and freakin Woody Harrelson.
Who thought that cluster up? No way would that be a good show. They proved me the hell wrong and I have the BluRay set to prove it. I'll give Ferrell a chance. |

Sorry if you can't get past White Men Can't Jump and him as Woody on Cheers. |

That show pulled me right in. They set the bar pretty damn high. Each follow on season will be judged against the first.
I'm ok with this. He's not my favorite, but neither was Matthew McConaughey and the 1st season was good.
I recently watched the entire season on DVD.
I also watched a film called Texas Killing Fields. If you are Jonesing for a short-term TD fix, maybe give Texas Killing Fields a watch. They manage to capture the sense of physical desolation and raw proximity to peculiar sorts of evil. |
When is the next season supposed to air? It's already September and they're named one lead out of four so far.
Withholding judgement on whether CF will pull it off, but they'll need other good actors to play his partner/adversaries - they better find someone that can pull off the Marty/Rust dynamic or it's going to suck. |
Is Marty's mistress coming back? This is the question we should be asking.
Woody was great, but I dare say Matthew's best performance to date, and one of the best I've seen since Ian what's his name as Swearingen in Deadwood. Sucks they won't be returning though.

Isn't Vince Vaughn in the second season also?
A bad guy I think? |
One of my favorite shows of all time. No way they can top it in season 2.
I think Colin Farrell is a very good actor.
I've heard Vince Vaughn and Roasrio Dawson are rumored to be involved as well. |
That was a gritty show.
I found myself watching it for the actors, not the story. |
Am I mistaken , or are they supposed to use 2 different actors in every following season.
Thats part of the premise , 2 new actors every season , in a different city. |
I just wish they'd redo the last episode of the first season so it didnt suck so hard.

And confirmed Vince Vaughn...
HBO has just announced that Colin Farrell will be starring as Ray Velcoro, a crooked cop involved with the mob. He will be joined by Vince Vaughn, who will play Frank Semyon, a mobster who is trying to go legit and whose plans are upended by a murder. View Quote |

I catch a lot of HBO in the hotel, so I'm sure I'll end up watching. I'm skeptical, but maybe it will be good? |
