Quoted:
Out of the Furnace has a pretty damn good ending. View Quote Agreed. That movie was depressing man. Nothing but killing and death throughout the movie. The DUI incident, his father, his brother, the bar owner, and finally the meth head. But I love that movie. I loved the ending to El Dorado and Open Range. Two good westerns. |

Quoted: Shawshank redemption OR Independence day. View Quote I nominate Silence of the Lambs. The cut scenes back and forth from the FBI guys about to do a raid, and Clarice being the one at Bill's door are done perfectly. The last scene with Bill is terrifying. The darkness and claustrophobia around Clarice, with Bill so close. I watched this my freshman year of college, in a dorm theater at 11:30 PM. It got out about 1:30AM, and I had a 1/2 mile walk back to my dorm. In the dark. Alone. Seriously scary. |

Quoted: The Sixth Sense really messed with my head. Watched the whole thing again that night. View Quote I first saw it in a theater. During the movie I was bored, waiting for something to happen. I walked out of the theater I realized I'd seen one of the most finely films ever. I went back to the theater the next week and watched it again (I NEVER do that...) just to see if I'd missed some clue. Nope. Still, Planet of the Apes is the best. |
