I have a good amount of .40 cal ammo to shoot and nothing at this time to shoot it out of. Looking for something to carry concealed. Give me some arguments pro and con.

Not a .40 fan but hard to fo wrong with this choice.  M&P is a good one too, as are others there.

Any reason for the glock choice in particular?

I have a Glock 20. Like the feel of it and how it shoots. Thinking about getting a couple of more in different calipers.

Have a g22 and g27.  Want a g23 to complete the collection, but I would like to try a M&P.  I don't think there is a M&P that is the same size as a g23, is there?

One has to be professional enough in order to carry a Glock 40.

My carry gun is a G23 with 180 grain Winchester PDX1 ammo.

its my carry gun.  It fits the hand well, and carries well in an IWB holster.  I changed the sights to the big dot type, but that's it for mods.

The G23 is the twin to the G19 so it's easy to conceal.  You can buy an aftermarket 9mm conversion barrel if you want to shoot 9mm.

Go for it.

The full size is between a g22 and g23, the compact is between a g23 and a g27. They feel better in the hand personally than a glock, but like the feel of a g19/23 too

I am one of the idiots that like the .40 and think it would be a solid addition.

9mm conversion barrel and you can use 17,19,23,22 magazines

FO

I own the 23, 20 and have a 35 on the way.

23 is identical in size in every way to the 19, but you get a more powerful round. What is not to like?

I would at least handle the M&P shield .40 first.

I'd like to find an older one if possible. Not sure if the Gen 4 is the way I want to go.

It's what I carry.
You can not go wrong with a 23.

I carry a gen 4 23 in a OWB Crossbreed holster in the winter. I haven't had any issues with it.  I like shooting 9mm over .40, so I'm going to switch to a 19 when I have the money, but the 23 has been a good gun.

I didn't have any trouble finding .40 during the last panic, so I'm going to hang on to it for that reason. The 19 is the same size frame, so it would be nice to have two guns that are similar, but different caliber options.

Or diversify and get a .357Sig barrel too.

Lots of very reasonably priced police trade ins on Gunbroker right now.  I already have one (and a 1/2, need a frame for a NiBo upper) or I would by another at the price they are going for.  I don't mind spares obviously as I have 3 Glock 19s.

I have a Gen3 and Gen4 and can recommend them both, nice shooting guns, nice deals pop up in any number of classifieds if your patient enough to wait on them.

I would stick with the Gen 4.  Munch improved recoil management with the dual spring.

I keep hearing that and I may have to pick one up to try it out.

I prefer the grip size of my current Glock 27 with a pinky extension to the grip of a previous Glock 23 I owned. Hand felt bunched up on the 23.

Fo.

I usually carry the 27 though, just because of size/easier to hide.
