I have a pair of glasses but wear contacts 99.9% of the time.  I have the ones you wear for a month and then replace. If someone with 20/20 vision tried my contacts or glasses they would be able to see through walls.....

Near sighted, but not badly.

Only need them for driving @ night, and to see anything @ long distances.

Yes, since about 8. Really went downhill during college, have considered LASIK but still makes me nervous. Left eye is permanently damaged, so they would have to get it perfect with the right.

Progressive bifocals - Strongly nearsighted plus astigmatism.  I started wearing glasses at age 10.

My opthalmologist just told me I'm starting to develop a cataract.

Since my early 20's.  I will wear contacts sometime too.

I'm near sighted and have some astigmatism in one eye.  I've had glasses since about the 3rd grade I think.

I wear contacts mostly.  I have several pairs of shooting glasses (mostly different lens colors for clay target shooting), sunglasses for driving, sunglasses for fishing, eye pro for working on my lathe, etc.  Changing all those every couple years for prescription changes is cost prohibitive.  With contacts, my shooting glasses and various sunglasses are good for years.   I keep a set of regular glasses around if for some reason I don't have my contacts in.

One place where the contacts really shine, IMHO, is hunting.  Nothing worse than fogged up glasses when it's time to make a shot.  I positively hate glasses while hunting.  Rain, snow, mud, fog, etc.

The downside is that I am nearsighted.  I can tie flies and read without any correction, but If I have the contacts in I have to use cheaters.

Contacts here...

I've always wondered why the increase in people needing corrected vision the last century or so.

That, or people just dealt with not being able to see shit, and the headaches that come with eye strain.

I had an eye exam last year, thinking I would need glasses. The doctor told me to stick to reading glasses for now.

Almost 37 and 20/20 vision.

No problems as of yet. The only thing I've noticed is it's hard to focus on tv or movie screen when I'm really tired, like when I've been up for 15+ hrs.

I wear them daily. My eyesight definitely isn't terrible, but with my glasses it's 20/15. It's nice having incredible vision. It's also nice when your glasses automatically adjust according to brightness and go from clear to dark tint automatically. I really like my prescription shooting glasses. So much nicer doing stages when you can see the bullet holes out to 25 yards.

Contacts only for me.  Can not wear glasses.

Would love a more permanent form of correction; also would prefer that without starbursts, halos, dry eyes or a chance of blindness.
