Loaded up some 165gr 9mm loads.
Very soft, and quite accurate in my Glock 34. |

I strapped on my 9 for some dry firing today. Kind of missed Production. I think major scoring is making me kinda sloppy. |

We had 35 shooters last night for the weekly league shoot.
I was rusty. I haven't put any time in the last month or so towards shooting or dry firing. Area 5 registration is open. August 17-21. http://wisconsinshooters.com/joomla16/index.php/uspsa/area-5-championship |

Loaded some longer 40 ammo with Power Pistol because it was already in the powder hopper to see if a longer OAL would fix the feeding issues I've been having with my new 2011. PP sure is nasty stuff. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e232/thejeanyus/Gun%20Pictures/IMG_20160210_164139667_zpsq98b6czh_edit_1455155652836_zps9rkykhcl.jpg OAL wasn't the issue, but after some extractor tweaking I think I finally have the damn thing working right. View Quote How many rounds caused that much dirt? |

100 rounds of the longer OAL reloads with Power Pistol, 50 rounds of Blazer Brass, and 37 rounds of reloads with Titegroup.

I load to 1.2" in my Edge. That fouling looks familiar. I run Titegroup.
I put a Aftec extractor in my edge after several recommendations and it has worked great for me. |

Power Pistol is a fun powder but not one I would use for anything in USPSA, except for open.

I just loaded the PP to test OAL because it was already in the press from loading some Gold Dots. I'll load my "normal" ammo with Titegroup or HP38.
The STI is eating 1.135" stuff as well as 1.180" now it seems. Had to bevel the bottom edge of the extractor and back off the tension a little. The rim of the case was having a really hard time getting under the extractor, and everything would just bind up. |

This deployment sucks I haven't touched a gun in a month save for my issued m9/m4 when we first got here to make sure they were still in the case before being stored in the armory. I'm looking at Dillon stuff everyday... I'm thinking about replacing my lnl AP for a Dillon 650 with a case feeder. Anyone want to buy a lnl AP? |

Quoted: Anyone else slaying some dry fire tonight? View Quote Skipped tonight but put in good work this week. Going to do some more this weekend. Stoeger's book is pretty nice. Lots of stuff I knew, but lots of different ways to approach things. Kinda neat. I'm trying to put the effort in at home and so far it seems to be translating well to live fire. I was finally able to get to the range a couple weeks ago for the first time since October. I felt good (despite it being 30* outside), and I know I'd have been FAR worse off without having spent the time dryfiring. Last year was my first year ever shooting USPSA, never got around to buying a membership. This winter I ponied up and was convinced to register for BITBG. I guess that's one way to dust off 6+mos of no matches. Drive 5hrs and shoot a big one. |
