As far as cheap beer goes, Russian beer is pretty good.  Definitely better than PBR or any domestic light beer.

You've had different Russian beers than I've had.

Russians make good Vodka, beer not so much....

Oh I dunno, any one of the ~2,800 other breweries in this county making beer you'd actually want to drink?

On a non-dickish note, I think Coors is still locally owned and not part of a global mega-conglomerate.

My cousin is a brewer for Stone.   They are American.

Last I checked, there are other metrics to measure the relative merit of food and drink other than "what is cheapest."

Yes, but "what is cheapest" is ALSO a metric.  I like awesome $20/bottle microbrews as much as the next guy, but sometimes I like to sit next to the fire pit and see how high I can stack beer cans, too.

I just finished mowing the yard and am drinking a Pabst as I read this.
As soon as I finish this, I am going to the store to panic buy.

Every couple years someone drags me into one of these microbreweries or a bar that has 10,000 beers on tap.

I leave there knowing, once again, why I never go to one of those places on my own.
But I do feel so sophisticated.
