I happen to be the father of a 14 yr old autistic girl. I think it would be best if I didn't talk too much about the things I would do if I were in this situation. I would dig deep into my darkness and unleash every demon I've kept bottled up.

 Both he and the victim were special needs students. The boy's string of sexual offenses and offenses against female students did not begin with the Jan. 22 sexual assault. His disciplinary file, which is part of the court record, shows the following: February 2009: "Making inappropriate comments to a young lady." The incident deemed sexual harassment, the boy was given out-of-school suspension. September 2009: "Offered to pay another student to beat up a girl. Also stated he would like to kill her." Cited for harassment, he was given out-of-school suspension. October 2009: "Inappropriate touching." Cited with disobedience, he was given in-school suspension. Nov. 18, 2009: "Removed from bus until after Christmas break for refusing to obey driver and keep hands off a female student." Listed as a "minor disruption" on the bus, the penalty was being suspended from riding the bus to and from school. Nov. 25, 2009: "Kissing." A disobedience infraction, it brought with it in-school suspension. The sexual assault in the bathroom the following Jan. 22 was listed on his discipline report as "inappropriate touching a female in boys bathroom." It is listed as a sex offense and the report shows his placement in the alternative school. One incident that is not clearly noted on the report is an incident of consensual sex that reportedly occurred between the teen and another girl the week before the rape. The incident was mentioned in court proceedings, and Sparkman Middle principal Ronnie Blair talked about it at length in his deposition in the case. In the deposition, Blair stated that the administration was unable to confirm that the incident happened after both the boy and the girl denied it took place. That did not stop the administration from putting the teen in the school's in-school suspension for 20 days, however. "As I recall, nothing could be proven in that situation either," Blair said in the deposition. "As the investigation continued, we -- (assistant principal Teresa) Terrell and I met the next morning, I believe it was the next morning, and met with his mom and decided at that point, just with the drama that was surrounding him with this girl, that girl, boyfriend/girlfriend stuff, that it would be best if we placed him in AAP, in-school suspension, for a period of time. Not as discipline for him, but as a precautionary measure. And mom, of course, agreed. Otherwise, we would not have placed him in the program." The boy was still under that suspension status when the rape occurred, the court records show. |

Simpson, who has since resigned from the district, testified that she
told Dunaway, then her immediate supervisor, of the plan beforehand, but that Dunaway did nothing to stop it from happening. According to court records, Blair and Terrell were also aware beforehand of the boy's history of violence and sexual misconduct on campus. All three should be charged, and forced to register as sexual predators. All are POS in my opinion, luckily not my daughter or you guys would be fronting my room and board for a while. Well she might have mental problems the rest of her life but by the time the lawsuits get done she should be set for the rest too. |
