Cambodia was pretty brutal. The numbers itself are lower than other genocides but 25% of the nation's population is quite a lot. So brutal even the commies in Vietnam went to war with them.

I voted no, as anyone who knows history should.
In what metric do they outshine other evils? Their reason for existing is to seize land for their god, this is a reason as old as time. They kill heretics to their religion and cultural outsiders to glorify their god. People did the same in the names of Mars and Jesus and a thousand others. Tactics? They use fear and intimidation. Like the first cave man to get in a fight. Weapons? Standard Soviet fare, not fielding flamethrowers or mustard gas or wild animals. Killing? They torture and then behead in front of a TV audience. Following Al Qaeda's and the Mexican cartels' leads. They are evil, but not the "most." Khan wins on sheer devastation, the Japanese win on inhumanity , ideology could go a lot of ways depending on the beholder. |
