Can someone explain the battery?
Will this thing take a AA? All my lights are AA or 123's. Not looking to add a third batt to the mix. Thanks! |

18650 is basically 2, 123 batteries.

You'd be amazed what you can buy in the average Chinese city. Some of it is knockoffs but some of it is what they call "third shift"- sometimes it's seconds that don't get shipped but some of it is first quality stuff that went out the back door. It's not uncommon for workers to cart off stuff when they quit then sell it at the numerous little shops all over the place. I've got a couple of really nice LED flashlights and a green laser pointer that I picked up while I was there. The flashlights have good quality machined bodies and are bright and the laser is stupid bright and will ignite a match held near it. The laser was like $12US and the flashlights were around the same.

Larger than aa, 18650 battery. 18650 batteries are a plus. I use them in my vaporizer and a flashlight. I have 4 that have been recharged daily for over a year and still holding charges fine. |
