I would enjoy those concerts more if I wasn't funding them. If I have to foot the bill, send them to play at my birthday party.

View Quote Two points: Only a tiny percentage of NPR's operating budget comes from the public sector, something like 6%?? (I'd have to check on it, but the overwhelming majority is donation and business). You pay more, directly, for your public park...which is also a recreation you can either enjoy or ignore. Secondly, of all the things NPR does (being liberal dickbags on their news reporting and social commentary), what better use of public radio than some concerts by outstanding artists? Which would you rather have? I actually see the need for public broadcasting - just don't want it to be political and biased. Given how little funds it actually uses, I rate the whole debate a huge "meh". Enjoy the music, man.

However, if the government is going to get in bed with broadcasting, I want BBC quality programmes. Good music everyone, sorry to be a buzzkill. |

Quoted: Their music is not for everyone but the last time I saw them live they put on a 2 1/2 hour show before the three encores. Terrific band live. I had to watch that EWI video several times.
Bride is smoking hot.

Yes. And while that whole video is completely hilarious, the muzak version of Au Privave at the beginning slayed me.

I'm trying to see how much they charge for a pleasant evening of music, but their website doesn't seem to say. I wonder if they offer a discount if you provide them a keg of their own?
