Not sur what happened above. Anyway, the rifles with the Aimpoints are Dept issue AR6520s. We had them for a few years before we got the Aimpoints and Surefires. It wasn't the ideal setup but thats what we had. We are allowed to purchase and carry personal ARs made by Colt and comparable models by Bushmaster. Most but Colts. Non magnifying, quality red dot sights are optional on personal rifles.

Why would someone who wants to hurt and kill cops leave those laying out and not setup? If he just wanted to hurt police he has had lots of chances since the first night to try and still hasn't taken them. It will be interesting to learn what his motive was for the shootings since it seems like it wasn't just to shoot random police. |

Manhunt Subject Eric Frein Has Dodged Authorities Before
The accused cop killer who's been the subject of a manhunt in eastern Pennsylvania for weeks tried to dodge authorities once before, to escape prosecution, ABC News learned today.
Eric Frein, a war reenactor obsessed with Eastern European armies and weaponry, was arrested and charged with grand larceny in 2004 after stealing uniforms from a World War II reenactment in New York. He requested a jury trial, but never appeared. View Quote The judge issued a warrant for his arrest on bail jumping. Frein's father, a retired Army major, brought him to New York to handle the charges. Frein pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor, spent about four months in jail and paid $3,000 in restitution.
"He made it much worse than what it could have been, for sure," Fazzary said. Frein, 31, swiped five wool replica uniforms, ten smocks, seven camouflage socks and two wool caps in the heist at the World War II Reenactment Center in Odessa, New York. The owner of the items saw them for sale on eBay two months later. Fazarry said he knew at the time that Frein "was some sort of marksman and may have had a number of weapons." Does a few inches less barrel really make a difference? Not to get off track, but like a dumbass, I tested the following outdoors with no hearing protection: My 10.3" MK18 without a can was pretty fierce. With the SF 556RC can, it's still a little painful outdoors, but not completely unbearable. My 16" Noveske with the same SF suppressor is quite bearable outdoors with no hearing protection. I'd say it was similar to a Ruger 10/22 with standard 22 LR ammo. I've never tried any of these indoors. |

Quoted: Extremely unlikely. You don't have a tree stand randomly collapse or fall out of it without either fucking up the setup or not wearing safety gear. Usually both. So far this goatfuck has cost millions of dollars of both state and federal money, and now taxpayers get to eat the cost of a helo flight because somebody fell out of a treestand. So far Frein has killed one trooper and injured another, and PA has shot one of their own in the chest and dropped two out of a treestand. I'd call that a tie. At this point it's been three weeks, I would wager this guy slipped away or that he's dead. Either that or holed up somewhere in a really well concealed hide site, maybe even something he dug out, who knows how long he's been planning this.
At what point do they pull back and try something else, what indication do they have that he's even still in the area? |
