Just got word that there was a shooting at the Pennsylvania State Trooper Blooming Grove Barrack parking lot. 1 trooper down another in critical, suspect still at large.

I hope they catch the culprit.

Details I'm getting are still sketchy. Telling resident to stay indoors. No info or description on the shooter as of yet. Happened around the time of shift change.

Iirc the barracks are pretty locked down.  Assuming it happened inside. Small windows and you have to buzzed in. Feel free to correct me.

The buildings themselves are fairly secure. The parking lots are not. Comments have 1 dead and 1 in critical with the ambulance taking rounds

With two suspected shooters I doubt it.

Friday night at shift change, maybe 6, maybe a few more or a few less. I don't know how many midnight cars they put out.

It's odd to me that they'd stick around to fire on the paramedics, almost like something Al-Qaeda might do.

My feelings are this was a vendetta against PSP for some perceived wrong.  By a local, familiar with the area.

There's a lot of gang activity in The Hideout and around Lake Wallenpaupack.

Absolutely, they are probably on tac channels that are specificly for emergancies, so they don't overwhelm the regular 911 radio channels, but those (tac channels)  are usually encrypted. It's all we got for now.

Helicopter support from new york and new jersey

PSP dispatch themselves. You won't pick them up on a scanner feed. If this is 3 hours into the incident, you won't get much from the PCR feed. The medical dispatching is likely over and I wouldn't guess that there would be much traffic now from the local PD unis that may have responded.

That's my point, if they had a vendetta against PSP, why try to kill paramedics?
