I didn't grow up in the woods trapping small game and stalking elk.Which means I need every advantage I have in keeping myself fed. As I said I feel like starving is more a threat to me than bears. And although it's not ideal a 22 mag is still better than a sharp stick or starving. |

Based on the responses so far, I think we have narrowed down 2 bolt action rifles ARFCOM members would trust their life with:
Honorable mention to those that would trust their lives to the .22LR if stranded in the Alaskan Bush (serious, not being a dick about it!), I bet a average cargo pocket would hold damn near a 1000 rounds! Not necessarily in that order! |

This is totally unusual cause this guy had major balls, some of his bear stories were pretty hairy. |
