The way their Tankers use Ballistic Vests as supplemental armor on their hatches is neat.
Armored Car crew would be considered 'tankers', right? |

Quoted:
for a country so suave... you would think they would have better looking and more practical rifles and weaponry. View Quote I think their uniforms, armored cars and the FR-F2 look pretty cool. The FAMAS is comme-ci, comme-ca, but does have the ability to fire rifle grenades. Also no pics of it here, but they use a sort of amphibious armored Jeep called the VBL that's tres kick-ass. As far as practicality, their gear actually seems more so than ours (at least in the sense of being smaller and more suited to that sort of environment). |

Great job France!
But they do need better rifles and subdued patches. |

Even the Brits' bullpups look better than a FAMAS. I think the new version looks high-tech - kind of like Lindsey Stirling with a carbon fiber violin... For those who failed MilWep101, the FAMAS (Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de Saint-Étienne) got the nickname Le Clarion, or "the bugle" when it was first issued... thus the instrument reference. |

The French obviously took good notes during their time in Afghanistan when they were observing US operations and tactics and have applied what they learned to their army to turn it into an ass-kicking force that is just what the fighting they're doing calls for. I half think what they're doing is practicing for when they have to root the muzzies out of France. |
