Johnny Appleseed is made from concentrate. The ones made from real apple juice is far far superior.
If you can get your hands on it, Woodchuck is likely the best American made mass produced variety. Lots of micro-cider makers are becoming popular. |

Have to agree with the Johnny Appleseed. I'll make the point that it tastes much better out of the cans than the bottles imho. Woodchuck, Angry Orchard, Redds and Mikes smashed apple are great too.

I never tried any hard ciders prior to visiting Ireland this year, and they have a brand called Bulmer's that was outstanding. To my surprise, I drank more Bulmer's than Guinness. When I got home, I tried varius brands, but the US doesn't have anything near as good as Bulmer's. Of all that I've tried since my return, I think Angry Orchard is the best bang for the buck. Crispin is only slightly better than Angry Orchard, but Crispin is also $6 for a 22oz bottle.
 But go easy on the cider, that stuff is about 225 calories per bottle!
