Didn't we just do this exact thread less than a week ago? That was a week ago, now it's this week. I don't think its been a week. It was like 4-5 days ago. I can't search for it. There was two, dated 22 and 24, so it has been a week, but that doesn't matter, yesterday started a new week so it was OK to post today. That's what I find searching for "oktoberfest", Just wait someone will be posting about Jennifer Lawrence nude pics Wednesday or Thursday. |

I disappointed with it this year. Or at least the canned stuff.

I'm sure the beer snobs will be along shortly to explain the error of my ways. I drink maybe two six packs a year. Last night a friend said "I know you don't drink much but taste this". I drank three last night and they all tasted great. Seems to me to have less carbonation too but I don't drink enough to be able to tell. Just bought my first six pack in years. View Quote I drink a ton of different beers, and plenty off them. Yes, I have had better beers, but SA Oktoberfest is still one of my favorites. I really wish they would make it a year round beer. Last year, I couldn't get it after October 1st. WTF is that shit? |

If it isn't brewed in München it is NOT an Oktoberfest bier. /thread

I had an SA Octoberfest last night, and regretted my decision. I try it every year, and every year it just doesn't do it for me.

That shit tastes like soap. Try Michelobs' Jacks Pumpkin Spice, it's worlds better.

It's good, but you need to try more beer. If there are more that taste like this then I'm in. That Sam Adams is basically a lighter version of a true German Oktoberfest/marzen. The German ones will have more flavor, but since you aren't much of a beer drinker, you might not like them better. |

Amen Brother. It's one of the only beer the wife will drink. We buy several extra cases when they first come out and put them away. As great as it is, it always seems to disappear around winter-time just when you are craving one.

Cannot believe the amount of beer snobs here. All your fancy beers must go down nice in your lovely suburban homes.
What happened to hard working guys drinking domestic favorites? Busch Light, Coors Lt, and once in awhile if I'm feeling like spending more I'll spring for some Blue Moon. |

This thread made me make a run to the store. I got some SA Oktoberfest, and som Ziegnbock. I also stopped by Redbox on the way home and picked up Jarhead 2..

What's the cost of Busch lite, Coors and. Blue moon going for a case? Just because you appreciate good beer doesn't mean you spend a ton of money. Hell, that's why I started brewing; I liked Belgians, Germans and other European stuff that cost more. Now grated, there are people to buy the more expensive beers from a trendy point of view but they're in the minority. There's a reason Coors, Bud, etc are so cheap as they're filled willed adjuncts and additives. Take a quality beer from a microbrewery that uses only quality grains, hops and natural spices and whatnot; shit is more expensive to brew. Life's too short to drink shitty beer but if that's what you like, who gives a shit....I don't. Drink what you like but don't look down on people that do. Same goes for 'beer snobs.' |

If price per drink is important, just buy a bottle of everclear and mix it with tap water. |
