I'm going to fire up the grill and make the fixins for fajitas/tacos in a bit (and maybe do a dinner pic thread if it turns out well).

What kind of beer should I get to go with it? Normally I'd just go for tequila, but Im wanting a cold beer for grilling. What does the hive suggest?

Dos Equis lager is very good.

Corona, in the brown quart bottles is also good, but, those quart bottles are not the best for casual drinking.

So, XX would be my choice.

Modelo Especial in the US.

There's a really good seasonal, Nochebuena (has a poinsettia on the label) but I've never seen it in the US.

Victoria is good too if it's really cold.

I'll order a Negra Modelo in a Mexican restaurant but other than that I dont really like Mexican beer. I'd rather have a frozen margarita than other Mexican beers.

Some Mexican places only have Mexican beer or mexican beer and a shitty US beer
They might have Budweiser and Tecate for example.

Favorite is Modelo Especial with lime, if I want a good tasting beer, 2nd is Modelo Negro

If I'm grilling and want Mexican beer I'll drink Corona, Sol or Pacifico with lime and salt. Something where I can drink one after the other and be social.

XX is ok, not my favorite. Tecate tastes like shit to me.
