So a good friend of my fathers wants to trade me his "unfired" 4th gen glock 19 for my s&w 60-15 pro series. Here is the run down. I picked up this wheel gun for 525 about two months ago. It was supposedly unfired. I can believe this as it was in perfect shape. There were no signs of it being fired cylinder had no marks, no gsr on it. Seems like just had the test fire at the factory but who knows.
I've since put 50 rounds through it.  Still in great shape. I have no clue what it is worth. Gb seems to be all over price wise so I was wondering if the hive could help I know jack shit about wheel guns and values of them. To add the revolver also has a trijicon front sight if that matters. So help me out hive what do I do.

Tl;dr don't know value of revolver and if I should trade for glock 19. I am a wheel gun noob

I would keep it and just buy a G19.

$700 new via Davidson's Gallery of Guns. Front night sight is factory.

I'd call it a $550-600 gun as it sits. You decide if that's worth a G19. Personally, I'd keep the wheelie.

Standard answer is get both.
That being said I'd probably keep it.

If you have no use for the revolver, sell it outright, buy a Glock, and pocket the difference.

The Smith is worth a lot more. Around here it would bring 650 to700 easy.

There's no way I'd trade that for a Gen 4 Glock.

ETA: And I don't even like revolvers. But that's a asymmetric trade. Keep the revolver, get a better auto (or G19, if you must) when finances allow.

Personally, I'd sell the revolver then buy something and you'd come out better on the deal.

No trade. If you want a G19, buy one when you have the funds.

I'd suggest sticking to pre-2010 guns if you go used, unless you get a screaming deal. Anything newer than that, and there's a chance you'll be sending it to Glock or troubleshooting it yourself. Buying new improves your chances of getting them to pay for shipping.

You should trade it for a less ugly S&W revolver.

As to the G19 trade--no. No trade.

I was mean and automatically thought the same when I saw the pic. Eww. Sorry. j/k

There's no way I'd make that one-sided trade.

Not a good trade.

You can get a nice used Gen 3 19 for $400 to $450.

Haha. Well, it is GD after all. I guess I should have put a smiley because I wasn't really trying to be mean about it. I've never seen one that is all blocky like that up front though. I love a sexy wheelgun, but that is just odd looking.
