If I remember correctly the first SA-2 'flight examiner' patches were originally made up to be a play on the normal Flight Examiner Shoulder patches that stan-eval pilots would war on their flight suit shoulders. They were originally shaped like the standard '100 mission' patches with the shield in the center and in the shield
the type aircraft the pilot qualified in. Some of the stan-eval
guys would get their patches modified with their type and the SA-2 appearing crossed in the shield after the first time they were shot at and missed while TDY.
now if you were a Weasel pilot and wore SAM Qualified instead of a SAM Flight Examiner patch on your shoulder it signified that you had scored a hard ordnance kill of a SAM site, meaning you scored the kill using either clusters or bombs, AGM hits (Shrike kills) didnt count.
