I think the kids will do alright, but I don't think we'll do anything in the playoffs. If we even make it. Detroit media is pushing the playoff streak like it's amazing. Sure it kind of is, but the goal isn't to just make it to the playoffs and fail... it's to make a big dent in them. Injuries have a lot to do with that, and the Wings had a huge number (2nd to the Pens IIRC) last year... But everyone has injuries by the end of the regular season. I still say they should reduce the number of games by probably 20% - the quality will go up even higher and the games will mean more. That's a sidebar though. Also: TRADE FRANZEN.
