Anyone else find themselves rooting against their bracket pick? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile Since I picked the Wild to lose, heck yeah. Hopefully Nashville kicks the crap out of the Glassmocks for 7 games, so we get them nice and worn down after our 4 game sweep of the Booze. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile This would be my hope. Double overtime every game! |

That's why I can't see anybody else coming out of the Pacific bracket but you guys. We'll be pretty worn down from playing real teams, so you guys get to play the Rangers. Should be a good Finals. No whining, the Wings didn't have an answer for how assertive TB got. Howie looked decent in the 3rd. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Damn Detroit got lit up. No whining, the Wings didn't have an answer for how assertive TB got. Howie looked decent in the 3rd. ehhh, they let TB play for the most part. The only play I think the Wings got away with something on is the check on Stamkos where he fell over. I thought for sure we'd take a penalty there. I was nonplussed when TB knocks Datsyuk over, then initiated a scrum, and somehow the Wings end up with the extra penalty. Good stuff. Oh well - hopefully it evens out. |

Poor jets View Quote Their fans in attendance tonight were pretty nice, and seemed to know and enjoy the game. HOWEVER, omFg I can not believe how they all, in person, and on boards seriously believe the NHL is trying to give this game to the Ducks. Is there a tinfoil hat factory there in Winnipeg??? I've been to both home games, and yes, it has been chippy. lots of hits, lots of late hits, lots of cross checks. I see what the camera doesn't always show. It was VERY even in the chippy, taking this to the edge, department. (And they started it!) :P The Jets are the most penalized team in the league, if I've read the stats correctly, and so far through two games of post season, we are even in penalties in regulation. I say "in regulation" because at the 20th minute of the third period in both games, they've taken chicken shit shots at our players resulting in a "penalty" that doesn't really have any minutes to it. We have out shot and out hit them, controlled the face offs, and controlled the puck for more time per game... but the refs are giving us the games because we are American, and the favored team by the NHL... Bless their hearts! |

By the way, I learned something today.
My son plays Goalie for his local team, and a new traveling team. He was asked a while ago if he could sub for another team today, and we said "sure" as long as there are no conflicts with his main team. Turns out there were no conflicts. Just THREE games in a row. 3:30, 4:30, and 5:30. He was going to have to go, ripe as hell, right to the Ducks game tonight at 6:30ish. Right before the end of the last game, he looked off, like maybe he was cramping up. As soon as the game was over we were supposed to run (skate) to the car, and he was going to change on the way to the game. I bought non scented baby wipes, and febreeze for the ripeness that I expected after three games. He almost didn't make it off the rink. Heat exhaustion had set in. he was beet red, dizzy, and wanting to puke. Stripped him down to his shorts, and threw water on him right there. Brought his temperature down a bit, THEN threw him into the car, blasted the A/C and rushed to the game. He could barely walk. I learned today: 3 roller hockey games in a row in an outdoor rink with temperatures in the 80's is probably not a good idea. |

Bless their hearts! I was mostly commenting that they just got their backs broken. They needed a win in Gordon Bombay stadium to stay in it. Especially in a tight chippy game Looked like a good physical game, aside from the two blown calls at the end ( too many men and the hold on the scoring plsy) it looked pretty evenly called I |
