To be honest I would rather see a system like this in place rather than the EBT / Food Stamps program that is in place.. Atleast then I would have a little more piece of mind knowing that my money was going to provide actual food and not the junk / crap / luxury items i see the leeches of society purchasing on a regular basis

My wife just got this flash from an elementary teacher friend of hers (Grades 1-4).
The school nutritionist just got a Federal grant. 100% of the yoots are now eligible for free breakfast / lunch. Every flippin' one, "poor" or not. (IIRC around 80% were chowing down free prior to this). Next time you see your FICA figures smile and think, "It's for the chirren!" |

By 11:15 a.m. the food had run out. Lets say they started at 7AM, real fuckin' early. 4.25 hours in line, max, for $100 worth of food. A little less than $25 an hour. You don't have to be unemployed to take that sort of pay. |
