We all, no matter how long we've been here, have posters whose stuff we notice (in a good way or bad). Notable posters throughout have included the likes of McUZI, SteyrAUG, SgtAR15, and of course EricTheHun. Those are the names we recognize.
However, with over 400,000 members, who are the milestones? We all have a member number - you can see it in anyone's post, just click on "user info" and it's the numbers at the end (I'm 2207). Who are the notable numbers in arfcom history? #1 is probably no surprise: everyone's favorite code monkey, GoatBoy. 17,562 posts and, of course, a regular visitor. The first non-Avila is #3, and he's a winner - former Staff member, long-since banned, DonR. Post Count: 3319, Last Login Date: 1/28/2005, Last Post Date: 4/24/2003 It wouldn't be a significant number for years, but #87 is Rex Feral. Rex left us quite a while ago, last logging in April 6, 2004. #223 is SlingBlade, who last logged in and posted on the very day he registered, 11/21/2000. #556 belongs to groo, also not a frequent flyer. Had 40 posts when he last checked in on Oct. 1, 2001. #1000 is finally a recognizable name - Ponyboy. 26,014 posts, and still with us today. #5000 - user toast. Not quite as active as Ponyboy with only 2,599 posts. but still around. (for reference, we're up to March of 2001 as a join date here) Next up, #10,000 - fisherman. 1238 posts but logged in a couple days ago. #50,000 belongs to Dhull - stopped by on 2/28/2004, joined, and was never heard from again. We hardly knew ye, Dhull. The big #100,000 came on June 3, 2006 and is John32369. John only has 552 posts and logged in last month. #200,000 (3/14/2009) - MMAAlphaCo. 75 posts, logged in yesterday. #300,000 (4/6/2012) - jzeebs. Only 3 posts, no doubt of quality, and the last one was 6/3/2012, although he logged in again a year later, presumably to check for responses. #400,000 brings us our first 14'er, grum. Grum registered in May, 2014 and hasn't been seen since. And now you know. |

400k members? Damn. Yes, but there are a whole lotta people who join and are never active. "The Most Users Online Was 10,357 On 4/27/2014 9:54:58 PM EDT. We have 407,532 registered members, 307,086 are active accounts. The last account created was turfengineer." 300+K is still pretty impressive. |

I'm 14536, but to be fair had a couple of older accounts.
Suppose that means I've been here a long time |

Still poking around - strangely, there doesn't seem to be a member #5.
Lowest number, non-Avila active member I found is #10 - Aggie1 logged in today. 1,832 posts. Gig 'em. |

Is there a list of members somewhere? No, you just substitute the number you want to look for after the "id=" at the end of the url you see when you click the user info. |

The numbers don't much matter, since the deck has been reshuffled at least once when the board had to be rebooted......
