Are there some New White Panthers that they can bus in from Oakland?
Will Repubs run in there and set-up a voter sign-up tent (like the Dems did in Ferguson)? |

There will be some polite chanting (the real hooligans might chant out of rhythm from the rest of us) and sign-waving (of course we'll stand off the sidewalk so we don't impede the flow of pedestrian traffic) and then we'll have a closing prayer and be home before we disturb any of our neighbors with our hellheck-raising. |

That's it. I'm booking a flight. What's the appropriate locale for mindless looting? Where are SLC's finest sailing shops, WASP boutiques, trendy sushi bars, and most expensive dining clubs? Are Allen Edmonds wingtip boots tactically appropriate for smashing in a window to go get what society owes me? Because injustices like this make me think that society owes me a few pounds of sashimi and maybe a cartload of dry aged steaks and French wines. Serious question from the article: "The SWAT team serves all our warrants now following that unfortunate incident wherewe hit the wrong house. … I said, guess what guys? You’re no longer just responding to just those high-level incidents that are very stressful. You’re going to respond to these low-level things and you’re going to have to learn how to deal with it with the least amount of force." When did SLCPD hit the wrong house? I can't seem to recall this incident ... It was near downtown off Hubbard Ave and between 200 E and 300 E I believe. I think it was a couple years ago. |

The police were called because someone said there was a gun. Did this kid actually commit a crime? The two in Missouri actually committed crimes, the first probably did attack the officer first, and the second was charging the police and yelling "Kill Me".

A black New Jersey detective was just acquitted here in MD for shooting an unarmed white guy.
http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2014/07/30/deliberations-continue-in-road-rage-murder-trial/ “Mr. Harvey was shot not once, not twice, but three times. And witnesses said that he stopped and put his hands up before he was shot two more times,” said Anne Colt-Leitess, Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney.

Quoted: Yep. Nice place and usually get to watch a takedown or a bumfight every day. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Just booked a flight I flew into SLC last October. There was a DW 1911 and a Beretta Tomcat in my checked bag. Carry gear and extra mags for both. CCed them everywhere. Lots of homeless in the park across from the hotel, but absolutely no problems the whole time I was there. You stayed at the Residence Inn on 300 S.? Yep. Nice place and usually get to watch a takedown or a bumfight every day. Pioneer Park is a funny place, the city keeps trying to clean it up but for some reason it won't stay clean. The west side of downtown SLC where you stayed used to be full of old warehouses and flop hotels and decaying buildings until Larry Miller built the Delta Center/ESA in the early '90s. Then the Olympics came and the whole area got gentrified really quick. The process accelerated when the city put the transit hub a few blocks away. Now every hipster from California and the East Coast seems to want to live in the area. Unfortunately, they didn't think to move the homeless shelters located on the west side of the park. So naturally, as you witnessed, they have all sorts of problems with bums pissing/crapping/fighting/selling drugs/stealing stuff in the park despite dozens of city programs intended to move them out. It's kind of hilarious to see hard-core trendy liberals turn into law-and-order conservatives when they find the sidewalks in front of their six-figure condo are covered with needles and feces. |
