I'm no doc but I am almost certain that is not melanoma. It looks more inflammation infection.

Do a google search for melanoma, that doesn't really look like it (but obviously have a doc confirm). Could it be a spider bite? I've had a few where the center of the bite basically dies and leaves a nasty scab. Took weeks to heal. Didn't feel the bite and it didn't really itch or anything. RF |

RF It's an infected puncture. If you have poor circulation, you can get a would and not feel it. Get it checked out for peace of mind but if it was cancer, the doc would have referred immediately. They DO have the skills to delineate skin cancers.

I'm 28, so hopefully no circulation issues. If I have circulation issues, it would be news to me. If it matters, I can feel all my body parts just fine.
