OP, ditto.  Get to the docs ASAP.

Google "Melanoma Images" and you'll see why.

People die from this.  Really.

MRSA doesn't necessarily hurt. Most of my patients don't report pain with MRSA. Plus, it doesn't have the distinctive pink color around it for MRSA.

Nah. If it doesn't respond to the drugs I'll visit a dermatologist to get a biopsy done.

Melanoma tends to have irregular borders while that has a pretty sharply defined border.  Do a google search for melanoma, that doesn't really look like it (but obviously have a doc confirm).

Could it be a spider bite?  I've had a few where the center of the bite basically dies and leaves a nasty scab.  Took weeks to heal.  Didn't feel the bite and it didn't really itch or anything.

It is certainly possible that it could be a spider bite.

The processes that are going on around the skin are more inflamatory infection. It looks like a puncture wound.  Melenoma most resembles a mole or shit stain and there is no redness around he lesion. There is clearly concentric rings of inflammation.

It's an infected puncture. If you have poor circulation, you can get a would and not feel it. Get it checked out for peace of mind but if it was cancer, the doc would have referred immediately. They DO have the skills to delineate skin cancers.

I'm 28, so hopefully no circulation issues. If I have circulation issues, it would be news to me. If it matters, I can feel all my body parts just fine.

That is not a bullseye.  I had Lyme twice years ago.

I walked into the Docs and said this is a tick bite.  I've been bitten every year since I was a kid, and this ain't normal.  Cough up some Doxies.

Whatever it was, the spot didn't disappear for months.

Urgent care doc mostly agreed with NavyDoc. Looks like some sort of bite, with a little necrotic tissue in the center. He put me on Bactroban ointment and Cleocin antibiotic. Hopefully this takes care of it. If not, he recommended I go see a dermatologist.

Need another iPotato Picture, with concentric circles around the site of injury, and a standard object nearby, to indicate scale (dime, quarter, doubloon, etc).

Draw on the margins of the wound with a sharpie.  Then it's not a guess if it's getting bigger...

Almost certainly not a spider bite.  Spider bites are defensive, so you'll know if they bite you.  Most 'spider bites' are from some sort of parasitic insect/arthropod.  Spiders don't just go around biting people for the hell of it. (Unless you live in Australia, where they try and murder you)

It does look like an insect bite to me.
