A man is saddened by the passing of a friend and it's pathetic?

GD, I just don't get you. People fall over themselves to give their compassionate well wishes to a person that loses a dog, yet when a man saddened by the early loss of a friend due to a terrible, terrible illness than it's pathetic?
WTF is wrong with some of you folks? |

We remember people in our own way.
This is right up there with "stop liking what I don't like" GD stuff. |

Robin Williams was a drunk and depressed. Ron White is a drunk and gets depressed on youtube to remember a man he barely knew. And crack jokes about sobriety. Classy. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Who in the hell will watch that video and think anything other than "Damn, what a slobbering pathetic drunk" Ron White maybe? Again, I don't necessarily agree with Ron making fun of sobriety, but big deal. He remembers Robin Williams in his own way. I remember him from some of the really funny (Good Morning Vietnam, his standup, and a few other things) and poignant (Bicentennial Man) moments in his acting career. I'm more of a "let it be" sort, so whatever. |

The worst is when they do their best to try to act super sensative and get butthurt over comments and try to take you to the pit, where people are making worse comments in the same regard every day. |

I can't imagine why a stand-up comedian would be devastated by the death of a remarkably successful stand-up comedian. Nope. Completely befuddling to me.

Wow, he had a moment with a person that he felt touched his life in an important way, even if they weren't close, and you're shitting all over it? There are thousands of people that you will meet in the course of your life and you will rarely know what impact you have on them. Sometimes small, sometimes big, sometimes positive, and maybe sometimes not, but it doesn't matter if you know, because the person you had an affect on does. That's why Ron White is reflecting on this, and that's why he feels compelled to mourn. |
