Anybody in here working public safety (LEOs, FF, EMS) will understand this one. I think it is freaking outstanding. http://elpasofirefighters.org/Not%20a%20Taxi!.jpg View Quote Hell yeah! People using the ambulance as a taxi, and people thinking that an ambulance ride would get them to the front of the line at the ER. I would shatter that selfish notion of theirs with three little words upon arrival: Okay to triage |

In Yorktown, Texas there is a yellow diamond with a handicap wheelchair symbol on it. Not sure if its a crossing, or if someone drives his mobility scooter down highway 72. ETA: like this one. http://www.usa-traffic-signs.com/v/vspfiles/photos/Hand24-2.gif Its about a mile out of town. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

There's a "Slow Blind Child" sign in town. I can honestly state, that I have never observed a "Fast Blind child". Nevermind that the sign has been in front of the same house, for over 30 years. ETA: like this one. http://www.usa-traffic-signs.com/v/vspfiles/photos/Hand24-2.gif Its about a mile out of town. If it's north of town there used to be a guy that would sit by the road and watch the cars go by and wave at them. I believe there's also a church near there with a cemetery across the highway. |

In Lansing, MI, on Kalamazoo Street, there's an old out-of-business convenience store. It's a bad area long known for drugs and prostitution.
On the side of the store are many lines of the same phrase "I would like this building to be a______" stenciled. Passers-by are supposed to write ideas. A week ago, coming home from a movie I stopped and wrote "dead hooker processing plant" right in the middle of the wall. It was the only comment... |

The one that shows a person reading a book with an arrow pointing towards the library because people who can't read will obviously be looking for it.

There's a Mi Suk's Korean right outside of Ft. Leonard Wood. The best serious road signs I've seen are both in Nebraska: 1) No parking on the highway and 2) Go on your green only.

Due to sorry landlord" They finally got tired of Radio Shack's PC anti-gun bullshit, and dropped the brand altogether. Now, it's "Electronics SuperStore", or something like that. I like it better now, because it reminds me of the old Radio Shack of 20+ years ago. |
