SEATTLE — "A pedestrian was struck and killed by a dump truck in a hit-and-run accident Thursday afternoon in the 800 block of James Street, police said.

A search for the dump truck and driver is under way, police said.

Officers said the truck dragged the pedestrian after hitting the person."

The scene is currently blocking the emergency room entrance at Harborview Medical Center.

Entirely possible the driver has no idea he hit anyone.

Blocking the ER entrance (as in medic unit and ambulance) to the Zoo is not good.

that's is true ...   I know a school bus driver.    they stoped him about two stops after he ran over a kid.....   he passed out when he was told.  and has never been the same person.  and this was the nicest guy you can ask for......  no charges were filed

being that dump trucks are Not a common vehicle,  why have they not figured this out?
