Thanks, me too. It was a little rocky at first and he's still not taking to the crate very well, but I work from home so I have time to acclimate him to his crate.

Two, and it's one too many to be honest.  Have a toy poodle, and a doberman.  I love that dobbie, but my god he can be a bit much.  That poodle is awesome though, very laid back and not too demanding.  I'll be bummed out when the dobbie dies, but it will be a lot more peaceful around the house.

For background the dobbie is my brothers dog (his ex wife spoiled it/ruined it) and the poodle is his fiancee's.

OK, question.... I see many of you have multiple dogs. How do they get along? I have one inside (Czeck Shepherd) and one outside (Wolf/Shepherd hybrid). Both female and both non-spayed. And they fight one day, the next they play. But anytime they get around each other they growl. I know it's a dominance thing and that they are both female and non-fixed doesn't help. I thought it would just take time to get used to each other but it doesnt seem to be getting better. Input?

My two boys pictured to the left are Czech, the short coated one has to be separated inside the house from all the dogs, outside he is fine. Inside the house he has gone after all the other dogs and drawn blood (punctured all of them pretty serious).

He is probably the most aloof of the pack members, the coated Czech is probably the enforcer of the pack. Our Dutch brothers are pretty mellow for the most part and our older German boy is really easy going. They all pretty much respect one another, mostly because we run a tight ship. The Dutches need more space then the others and are quicker to react if bothered.

Still got this guy Butch. Wire Fox Terrier.  He's the only one I have now and we are attached really well.  He's always been a very high energy dog and a lot of fun but he's 12 now and slowing down a little bit but no real problems. He's a great dog.

In my experience with dachshunds, I'm going to say yes.
Mine likes sleeping in her "snuggle bag" which is like a miniature sleeping bag lined with Sherpa.

Two is the perfect number. Mine are brothers and do everything together. I could feed them out of the same bowl they get along so well.

Are those dogs natural burrowers?   I've never had one till a few weeks ago when one comes up my driveway.  You have to be careful where you sit if you're around blankets, clothes, etc........Spent the last two weeks trying to find the owners but this road is a popular dumping site.    Part of the reason I have as many as I do........

They have dog beds for the day. Two of them. But they end up just piled into one dog bed and it stretches a bit to hold them both. Haven't seen them try to burrow anything.

This one dog will not sleep unless she is completely covered by something.  I keep a comforter on the couch for the dogs  when I'm at work and she'll even get under that.

Dachshund is German for Badger (Dachs) dog (hund).   They were bred to go into the hole and pull the badger out.  They have "earth dog" competitions where Dachshunds (and some other breeds) have to go through an underground maze and find rats.  So yes, they are natural burrowers.

Mine love going under blankets.  They can't sleep if they aren't under a bunch of blankets no matter how hot it is.

Four.  Although Murray (the blond dog) is nearly 19 years old.  I don't think we have much time left with him.
