I'm 42 years old and finally discovered a product that has been around for almost 90 years. This stuff works wonderful I just never thought to use it, it was some greasy thing old men used. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I have really thick hair and three bad cowlicks on the top of my head. I either have to wear my hair super short or longer and wear gel so it will lay down. Either way without something to weigh my hair down a bit it's all over the place. I decided to give brylcreem a try. It's light, doesn't leave any residue when you run your hands through it and your hair stays perfect all day.

If you have to wear something in your hair I suggest you give it a try. Our grandfathers had it right.

On an unrelated note, I'm happy to see the powder puff afro making a comeback on younger black women. I always found that look kinda sexy.

I used that stuff when I was a kid in the 60's.
Now I use fruit of the earth vitamin E to keep down the unruly parts of my mop. Not greasy and works, unlike brylcreem..which does work and is greasy..

I use this. It's expensive as hell but you don't need a lot so it lasts for several months:

This stuff is supposed to be pretty good too:
http://www.amazon.com/Paul-Mitchell-Tree-Shaping-Cream/dp/B00AONXUIW/

Loreal used to make a product called Crystal Wax that was amazing but they took it off the market for some reason and you can't find it anymore. It was cheap though ($5 a puck).

That and Dixie Peach Pomade.

A piece of that about half the size of a pea and you can rest a concrete block on a flat top.

120 miles per hour in a '57 Chevy convertible with the top down and not a hair out of place!

I sort of alternate between Brylcreem and Groom & Clean. G&C is less greasy, but Brylcreem seems to look better. Both are dirt cheap for how long a tube lasts.

Murrays ruined my pillows for years on end.

I'm a reformed Groom & Clean guy these days.

Mom's pop had a full head of hair when he passed away at 92.  Most likely I'll need to buy a couple cases of G&C to last me the rest of my years.

Depending on where you are in the country, you might need to find a store in an "ethnically diverse" area.

Target is a sure bet though.

cheers,
