I'll leave my personal feelings out of this.
Two points: This is an object lesson in keeping your mouth shut after a self defense shooting. How could he know she was really pregnant, not just trying to escape the consequences of her actions? Not trying to be a wiseass here, but I was taught the rule that you never ask a woman with a BIG belly, "When is the baby due?", unless you can see the kids head coming out.
