Anything I could say would be grossly inadequate, but you have my sincere condolences and prayers.
I believe that God will guide your hands in crafting his place of rest, and it will be perfect, no matter how it turns out.
Although it is little comfort now, you will have a great reunion with him someday.

I can't imagine the pain and sorrow you feel. I went through something similar. I remember feeling like I could not live long if the feelings of loss and despair continued for long. I was incapacitated for 3 months but healed afterward very gradually. Lucky for me, time blunted my horror and I found time was my best friend. Its been two years and I started to feel like I was getting normal as could be expected about a year ago. However, there are many steps backward. Hang in there my friend.

While it goes without saying that a parent would do anything for their child, what the OP did for little Cooper and continues to do for him is an exceedly fine example of exceptional parenting and the work of a quality human being..

I've only seen it once before, with Jeff and Rita Reed. I'm sure it happens more, It is just rare to see it..

Been struggling a lot with my faith lately, stories like this and another young man I know personally battling SMA have caused me to question things but my thoughts, sympathies, and prayers to your family and your little man. I've looked at his pictures several times and the room gets real dusty each time. Something about his spirit has really inspired me to look at life in a different, more positive light.
