As a new parent with a 10-day-old son on my lap, this thread just brought tears to my eyes. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss OP. It sounds like Cooper was blessed with amazing parents who loved him more than anything, may you all be together again on the other side.

I'm so sorry for your lose, even if we all make it to old age, this life is but a fleeting memory to what we have to look forward to, when we get to reunite with all of those loved ones and when the pain and torment of this life are a distance memory, where the illogical and futile pains will be seen with clarity.

First off, your son looks so vibrant and happy, Im sure he was a real trooper. Having lost a son at a young age myself, I know where you are my friend. Take time for yourself, and make sure that you allow yourself some time to grieve. While you are hurting, know that he not only brought you and your family a profound happiness and joy, he brought much more than you realize to ALL of us here. Its a rare occasion that causes so many of us here on ArfCom to put aside the petty arguments, the trivial things, and the macho-ness that usually pervades us here, and focus on something that really, truly matters. Your son not only reminded each and every one of us who read this thread, that there was something so very much more important than the usual, but he also reminded me, that sometimes its ok to cry. As I sit here with tears rolling down my face, I wanted to let you know, you, your family, and Cooper, are in my heart and thoughts this evening.

I'm so sorry brother. I lost my wife at 48, to cancer three months ago. I can only imagine how heart breaking it is to lose a child. You and your family are in my prayers.
