As a new parent with a 10-day-old son on my lap, this thread just brought tears to my eyes. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss OP. It sounds like Cooper was blessed with amazing parents who loved him more than anything, may you all be together again on the other side.

Sure is dusty in this room here. I'm so sorry for your lose, even if we all make it to old age, this life is but a fleeting memory to what we have to look forward to, when we get to reunite with all of those loved ones and when the pain and torment of this life are a distance memory, where the illogical and futile pains will be seen with clarity.

Very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Quoted:
My Cooper passed on early this evening. We've spent the past three weeks enjoying every moment possible together. His time on earth came to an end as he passed peacefully surrounded by family. I knew this morning that today would be his last, the end of his long battle. My warrior. If I had half his will, I'd be great. Our challenge now is life without him, our families centerpiece. Pic from last Sunday's Bubble party for Cooper http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i16/darreld/E6AF9AEB-FA26-4F6D-AD64-2976B4B49BA3_zps5tdctcm7.jpg We can't wait to see you again buddy. I love you forever. Heaven is better with your uninhibited joy and laughter. View Quote First off, your son looks so vibrant and happy, Im sure he was a real trooper. Having lost a son at a young age myself, I know where you are my friend. Take time for yourself, and make sure that you allow yourself some time to grieve. While you are hurting, know that he not only brought you and your family a profound happiness and joy, he brought much more than you realize to ALL of us here. Its a rare occasion that causes so many of us here on ArfCom to put aside the petty arguments, the trivial things, and the macho-ness that usually pervades us here, and focus on something that really, truly matters. Your son not only reminded each and every one of us who read this thread, that there was something so very much more important than the usual, but he also reminded me, that sometimes its ok to cry. As I sit here with tears rolling down my face, I wanted to let you know, you, your family, and Cooper, are in my heart and thoughts this evening. Respectfully, William Stormfeather USMC 1986-1998 US Army 2008-Present. |
