Could you imagine the outcry if a city was "Sealed Off" in the US due to a deadly plague? Even if it is the smart play?

It's pretty minor now. If you get medical help within 12 hours, your chance of survival is almost 100%

It's a 3 shot series, one shot every 30 (or is it 60?) days. You know when you're getting the series because it's a hassle to make sure you get them on time. I had to start the series 3 times. |

Maybe Obama should go to China to see if he can help
Maybe Jesse Jackson wants to tag along? |

Started with a mysterious case in the hospital, then all those warnings were in the newspaper and TV for coyote hunters and trappers. It just went away after about 4 months, I think our winter kills off the ill and it stops spreading. |

Quoted: I thought the bubonic plague died off. how does it lkeep coming back? View Quote The more dangerous pneumonic version is currently active in Colorado (see my post and link above). We might treat cases in humans but fleas and rodents carry it so it's hard to picture ever eradicating it. ETA: More dangerous in that it is airborne |

Look. If China closed of a city to protect the rest of China. Then it is worst than they are saying.
Communist countries always lie about the casualties. For example. The death toll from the Chinese earthquake. They did not include some eight+ towns totally buried by the mudslides. They kept the numbers extremely low so they could have their Olympics. Pride is always a lie under Communism. Look at Obama with the labor and healthcare numbers. |

Pretty sure a few cases pop up in the US every year.
Then again, it is China. |

I remember in the 80's as a kid watching a show on armadillos. It always stuck with me that they had said they still carry the disease.
