I'm happily married, 25 yrs In June, together for maybe 28 or 29. I love her and thankful she puts up with me every day, not that I'm an ass or anything, just thankful that she loves me. |

After reading the spreadsheet/ no-sex thread, I just wondered how many people are happy with the spouse. My first wife cheated on me, that was the lowest point in my life. I should write a book about how fucked up she was/ is. Thank God we didn't have kids together. But I married a wonderful woman six years ago. We're not perfect, but I'm very happy to be married to her. She makes my life better in so many ways. Just wondering if there was anybody else in GD who felt the same way. View Quote I'm happily single, does that count? I'll be damned if I go through that hell again. |

I love my wife. We've been together 11 years, just got married a couple months ago. Just remember that no one is perfect, including you. http://i.imgur.com/aUSqR5Hl.jpg View Quote Now you've done it. Quick! Someone photoshop a burka on this woman before the thread is locked! |

Going on 14 years married to the sweetest little redhead on the planet. We used to fight a lot when the kids were little (I think women are certifiably insane for 5 years after giving birth), and there were times I'm sure both of us thought we'd never stay together. Nowadays, we've learned how work as a team, we rarely ever so much as argue, and we still fuck like jackrabbits. So yeah, I'm pretty darn happy with my spouse.

25 years married at the end of July and still happy. Not even one horror story of betrayal worthy of GD.

I'm happy. She's not perfect mind you but if she were I doubt she'd put up with my sorry ass.

40+ years ago I married a gal I consider to be the best person in the world. Her health is not so good, but she never complains and has not changed over the years. I hope I go before her as I'm not sure I could live without her.
Also I'm amazed she did not kick me to the curb 30 years ago or so. |

Love is a choice... I choose to love my wife everyday... I don't let her failures or short comings dictate weather or not I love her... love is not something that you fall in and out of...

Still happily in love with my wife of 18 years. We met in high-school. Love her to death.

I occasionally want to choke my wife (I know she feels the same about me from time to time), but overall she's awesome, and my life is much better because she's in it.

I'm extremely happy with my wife! We are perfect together, neither of us are perfect but I think that's what makes it work. She loves me unconditionally and I love her unconditionally. She and I have open communication so if anything is bothering us we will talk it out.
Heck everyone I talk to about our relationship is jealous!! They say some of the stuff I say to my wife would get them murdered in their sleep! Oh! ....and I was just sitting here just now and my phone vibrated, I looked at it and there was an email confirmation to my email saying my purchase was confirmed. I was like I never ordered anything, what the heck is this! So I looked at it, my wife had ordered me a new climbing Tree Stand!!! The one I wanted!! |

Things are better now than they have ever been. We are nearing 8 years together, and the first couple years were really rough. I was too young and he should have dated around and had some fun after escaping his nightmare of an ex.
But, we stuck it out. And it got a little easier, and then a little bit more easy, and we've finally settled into our stride. Through it all, I've always loved him, even if sometimes I wasn't sure I wanted to love him. For the past few years, though, I can't imagine any other existence but loving him. When I look at him, it's like there's a big hand, squeezing my heart. I go on trips here and there and after two days all I want to do is go home and snuggle up on the couch with him. He's my world, my rock. I love him and he loves me, and my life is perfect as long as he is in it. |

Happily married for 27 years.
Only woman I ever dated. High school sweetheart and best friend today. |

My wife is wonderful, we've been married over 5 years now. She has her imperfections and I have my gripes therein, but a) I could have it so much worse, and b) we BOTH are constantly trying to be better spouses to/for one another.
Relative to the "no-sex spreadsheet" angle of the discussion: I was almost NEVER turned down in the first year, before our first child was born. Since then, I get turned down a lot more, BUT it is understandable- breast-feeding our two-month old and chasing around an almost-four-year-old boy will take a toll on a woman's sex-drive and is practically unavoidable. |

30 years married. Two kids, three houses, new jobs, lost jobs, cancer... Neither of us are perfect and we both have faults. But my life is truly better because she is part of it. I lover her and wouldn't change it for the world. If my wife ever comes across this post. Love you Ali!
