Its second quarter same-store sales — restaurants open at least one year —  jumped 17.3% for the second quarter of 2014 compared to the second quarter of 2013.   Most restaurant chains would be  very pleased to post numbers even one-quarter of that amount

Perhaps that’s why shares of the Mexican restaurant chain rocketed more than 9% in after-hours trading on Monday, up $54.57 to $644.85.

So much for the "screw Chipotle, I'll never eat there again" crowd.
