Yeah, you gotta get the right coil voltage on the contactor, should be 24 volts. Also, did you get a two pole contactor? Looks like you have a single pole (only one leg of the 230 volts is turned on and off)

one thing I have learned from these type of threads is get these parts ahead of time.
i spent way too much money having the HVAC guy do easy stuff before giving up
and getting a whole new system.
my Rheem 95% Furnace and 16 seer ac system is just around 1 year old.
and I have the 4 main cheap ones on hand if I ever need them.
Rheem had the parts PDF on their site. and google did the rest .
1.Contacter
2.Capacitor
3.Igniter
4.Flame sensor.
all for less than a Benjamen.
probably wont need them for years.
link to rheem parts http://www.rheem.com/products/replacement_parts/

Very prudent. Keep it clean & maintained, and that's about as smart as you can own a system.

Thankfully tho for me, few people do that.

I keep spares for all my cars and major appliances as well.  not to hoarder status yet.  yet..  simple things. like new projector bulb for my 65" Mitsubishi DLP tv.
spare carbs for my mower trimmer blower always have spare PC parts on hand if anything goes out. and lets not even talk about gun parts.
