When the Cuban citizens asked the government why they could not travel. the Government said that everyone getting on planes would congest the airspace and everyone would crash into each other so banning travel was a safety issue. |

Serious question: Is an aircraft "in flight" considered sovereign territory of the registered country? If so, why haven't the Dutch and Malays sent battalion sized military security assets to Ukraine and secured the scene for processing and threatened Russia, the Rebels, and the Ukrainians with lethal force at any display of hostility until the airplane and it's contents are completely recovered? I know I'd be beyond pissed if it was my airplane and would definitely be threatening full scale military intervention with the sole intent to recover my airplane and citizens bodies/possessions. Does anyone know what international law says? |
