We have a Japanese engineer visiting our plant from the home island I and thought I'd get him out for an American experience. He is 29 years old and had never touched a gun in all those years...until Sunday! It starts a little slow with a 22 rifle and a couple of pistols but it gets better around 5 minutes or a little after. At first he was a little nervous but by the end he was ready to join the NRA

Edit to Add: I realize we forgot the eye pro with a couple of guns and his form isn't Tier 1 quality but not too bad for a first time out.

I've done the same with Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and German clients, though the latter two nationalities has had their stints in mandatory service.

What makes this even better is that the second guy shooting the 50 is the plant manager's husband and he emailed the video to about everyone at the plant. Now Tomo is somewhat of a Rock Star around there now. They even opened a meeting with a clip from the video.

I threw the Arisaka in there just for him. I hadn't had it out to the range since the late 70's....you remember, when you could buy two cases of ammo and get a free rifle in Shotgun News. Seriously.

I took one of my wifes classmates and her fiancee from NYC out shooting. He still talks about it. He wants an AR but lives in NJ.

A friend of mine did the same thing with some young guys visiting Mississippi from their home in Canada.

They had a ball and wanted to get some photos of them holding an AR to send to their friends back home.

Good on you OP. Have yet to see anyone, that's isn't a 'gun person', not have fun when they go shooting in a proper setting. Usually, the more 'evil' the gun the more they like it.

You are generous. I took a guy shooting a few weeks back and it was his first time. He is from Iran. I brought my Uzi for him to shoot.

That's awesome. I took a guy from Ukraine a few years back and he loved it. He had never fired a shot and after that day he had fired an AR, shotgun, and 9mm. He was all smiles.
