I might do a 12.5" with mk4 on BAD LW receivers. No reason. Just want.
Unless I get a particular KAC rail I'm looking for. |

Someone should make a dovetail plug (for lack of a better term) to fill in the notch in the slide when using the 6-second mount.

"could" being the operative. A plug would be significantly cheaper than an aftermarket (gross) slide.

Are there .308 CWAR specs? Geissele doesn't make a 308 rail yet. No spec has been established SR25? Proto-CWAR is a KAC rail Or SLR rails are an approved alternate when G rails aren't available I believe. |

Unless cola warrior range stretches out further I dunno if we "need" a CWAR 308.
Just my opinion of course, I have no say in any of this |

I know Geissele was working on a .308 rail awhile back, but I have not heard anything about it, didn't know if there was one made. I may look at SLR rails for now. This is purely for selfish reasons, I dont think I will use a .308 if I can swing making it to TXCW. |

[#39]
I've heard stories of one or three of the G shop guys playing with the .308 rails on their own guns, but nothing past that. Hell, not even rumors of ones being sent to people for "legit" T&E.

Why not just take a factory Glock rear sight, grab it with some Vice Grips, and throw it on a belt sander until it's low enough to lay flush with the slide? They're just plastic throwaways anyhow. It's funny, though. So my wife and I go to the range the other day, and she's shooting her carry gun, a P238. And it's a small gun, so her groups aren't great, but good enough, you know? Anyhow, so she complains that the gun is kinda hard to shoot, and I'm like here, shoot my G19. She's convinced she hates Glocks at this point, but she's like *heavy sigh* oh, fine... and picks it up and 10-rings the whole magazine. And she's like, "Wait, what do these cost?" I said, "Oh, like $450." She's like, "That's cheap! ... Can I have one?" You're killing me, Smalls. |

I found out the reason my rail wouldn't work is that it is actually a 10" Mk3 DDC. Now I have to find a way to sell the upper or trade for a 9.5" rail.

So....I kinda just bought a TA33. It was killing me that everyone did what they did to build me that beautiful rifle and I hadn't ACOG'ed it yet. Well...now that has changed.
ETA: Traveling next week, so it will probably arrive while I'm gone, but I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as it arrives. |
