That 12.5 Centurion barrel really did not like to run with the buffering I have set up on the auto. So now my ROCWAR and SCWAR have merged. This runs perfect, but I think its a failure for requirements. http://i58.tinypic.com/23t46j6.jpg View Quote You could just come up with a new designation. ROSCWAR? |

I thought those cans were a little under a pound. Like 14oz. or something. They're all steel, aren't they? I'm in a bit of a pickle with mini suppressors, too. I still need to buy NV, and yet I feel the need to own more than just the one rifle can. I've got the full size .308, which is all well and good, but it's heavy on a 5.56 rifle for no reason other than stamps are a pain in the ass to get. If I'm willing to do the paperwork and wait, I can cut the size/weight in half with no impact on performance. I want to believe it's worth it, and yet... I've also got a 2nd problem. Surefire changed the mount system for the SOCOM line. I have all the previous mounts, pre-SOCOM. So I've basically got 2 choices... 1) Get an AAC or Silencerco, and just deal with having two different mounts and decide which rifles get which can, and that's it. 2) Find an old Surefire mini (DSG has one in FDE - it's listed at full price on the website, but they hinted to me they might let it go for cheaper just to get rid of it), so I can keep using all the same mounts. I know, I know, I need to stop worrying about this and everything else until I buy NV. But I want all the toys now. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

How much does it weight with and without the optic and with and without the can. Barrel profile? 12.5 Centurion arms LW barrel. Weighs 6lbs 15oz with optics. No idea without. Get the mini while you still can (no pun intended) to save money on brakes and inconvenience. Get it ASAP, and you may have it in time for CW5. then worry about NV. if you buy NV this month, but dont buy the can until november, well, you won't have both before CW5. but waht do i know |

Here is my CWAR DMR. Still need to upgrade the optics. I have a BCG, but no bolt or charging handle. Ordered both tonight along with a MIAD grip and new trigger well. The rifle in front of mine is one I am building for jgoertle while he is in the 'Stan. This will most likely be his CWE rifle. I really like the ALG handguard. It's very light and quite comfy. http://i31.photobucket.com/albums/c395/slowmethinks/IMAG0159_zpsfoeh4ohs.jpg View Quote You have a carrier but no bolt? I have an extra hpi/mpi bolt, if you want it. I'm really tempted to get the MLOK ALG I want one, but I need to decide if I'm doing an 11.5 or 12.5 barrel and how much rail I want first The 11.5 seems to be the more popular of the two, and be well balanced. The 10.3 is really growing on me though. |

Quoted: Swap acog for aimpoint micro, profit View Quote You mean failure. ACOG does so much more. Aimpoint micro is fine for lightweight short range guns, but takes away so much functionality. Not only that, the RMR on top does everything an aimpoint does, plus being higher up which makes it easier to use with NVGs. Im using 75gr ammo zeroed at 200m which makes all the drops equal up. I would have liked the 12.5 for more velocity, but the 10.3 runs so much better on auto, so thats what it gets. |

And how does the clip-on thermal work with acogs versus a magnified optic? |

So are the super lightweight ALG rails good to go now? I must've missed that... $100 bucks for a free float tube from a reputable company cannot be beat.
