It's useful as a Jackass Early Warning System. If someone starts posting jackassery I'll put them on ignore to see if they establish a pattern of jackassness. If their name is forever linked to being a jackass. I remove them.

I said the same thing. I finally broke down and ignored the 3 most annoying trolls on the site. This place is so much more enjoyable now.
