I don't use mine, but my scroll wheel gets a workout in some threads.

hell, those posters on most little wee wee peoples ignore list are the funniest.
you guys who say you have people on the ignore I have never even heard of you or remember you posting anything of any significance. |
|
I have 2.
And that's just because they annoy me. Not because I disagree with them or something. |
|
It's useful as a Jackass Early Warning System. If someone starts posting jackassery I'll put them on ignore to see if they establish a pattern of jackassness. If their name is forever linked to being a jackass. I remove them.

Nothing any of you can say on the interwebs will ever make me ignore you. I challenge you to do the same. View Quote I used to be of the same opinion. Now I use it to "ignore" people that I do not want to deal with on the EE. These are people that I believe to be untrustworthy. Three people are currently on it. I doubt I'll ever use it to ignore Paulbots, pot heads, pot haters, Dave Ramsey cultists, bible bangers, bible bashers, the Irish, LGBT supporters, pro-life/choice zealots, site staff, trannies, climate change psychos, creationists, evolutionists, or any combination thereof. |

I had a couple on my list. Purely accidental. Didn't even know who they were. Falling asleep with your finger on the ipad can cause weird clicks.

It's amazing, isn't it. I imagine the folks that use the ignore feature, as people that shread the newspaper over a differing opinion, and then try to figure out what to do with the pieces of paper on the floor. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I don't have anyone on my list... I don't either. Somehow, I'm able to struggle through life without it..... It's amazing, isn't it. I imagine the folks that use the ignore feature, as people that shread the newspaper over a differing opinion, and then try to figure out what to do with the pieces of paper on the floor. It's more like we're all in a room at a party, and there are a few people who keep ripping noxious farts, puking on the carpet, and drunkenly singing Nickelback songs at the top of their lungs. Why the hell would I want to have to see and smell that if I can avoid it with a click of a button? |

I said the same thing. I finally broke down and ignored the 3 most annoying trolls on the site. This place is so much more enjoyable now. I have 2 more on my radar, but it takes a lot to get me to hit that button.

I only used mine for that bro rediculousness a little while back

I used to think the ignore list was for pussies until about a month ago...
Now I use it to block fucking bronies and guess what? I haven't seen that many fucking MLP memes floating around this site. Fuck it, here is my list if you would like to surf arfcom without the fagget-ass memes. Maadi-yums NorthPolar OutnProudPaul BakerMike BigPony MadMonkey LittlePony |

I have one person on ignore...and that's only because he got his manties in a knot and begged for it.
|
|
I never use mine because I want to laugh at the stupid shit stupid people say...

I use it as a marker to let me know when the trolls are posting. I still click and read every single post that comes up marked as ignored, I just like to prepare myself for the derp that I'm about to witness.

Anyone worth ignoring will just be quoted incessantly anyway. Pretty much. (I quoted him, so you didn't have to click the "read the ignored post" icon.) I clicked the "read the ignored post" icon to see what you said Seriously, most jerks do get quoted too much for the ignore to be worthwhile. I have 88s and people even I find to be intolerable jackasses on my list. The latter is a very short. |

I've never felt compelled to ignore anyone on this forum or any forum. Not even snowleopard.
If someone can bother you that much on a forum you may be a sissy in the real world too. |

He just rubs me the wrong way. |

i have been trying to get a friends list going for awhile now here is a link

The resident Statists and JBT bootlickers are on mine.
I don't interact with assholes in real life, so I don't want to read their drivel on here either. If only quotes would continue the ignore feature I'd be set. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I have some on my list, all fucken 13'ers.
3 of them are in this thread alone. |

I will never use my ignore list. Me either. I like to keep track of what the assholes are up to. |

I used to feel the same way. Then I started using it as my "sleazeballs I don't want to accidentally deal with on EE" list. However, once you pop your cherry, it's easy to just keep adding to it. |
