I would cancel but the Federal FMJ 9mm is 21.5 cents per round, and the Federal 550 packs are $18.88 per box. My inventory for shooting is well stocked, so i will wait it out.

Hint to people with backorders: It ain't coming.
Other than .22, ammo is plentiful. If yours hasn't shipped yet, it's because they just don't want to sell to you at whatever low price you agreed to pay back when you placed your order. They want to sell to other people at higher prices. Primers? Dunno how it is online, but I can go buy any primer I need, in town, on the shelf, this afternoon. If you're waiting on a backorder, chances are good that you're not going to see that come to fruition, either. The only chance for those low-price backorders to get filled is for supply to outpace demand to the point that regular prices to drop back down to the price of your backorder. And if that happens, then, there wasn't much point in having that backorder for the entire time, now, was there? |

All mine from Sportsman's Guide (520 rounds of steel case .223, some .22, all free ship) have all been cancelled in the past couple weeks. I haven't even looked to see if they actually have it now, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I ordered five 325 round bricks of .22lr from Sportsman's Guide in March of 2013. I got 3 e-mails asking me if I wanted to keep
it on backorder as the date of delivery kept getting pushed off. Finally, last month, they cancelled the order. Thanks guys.

I got an email last week from the CMP. I had a case of .22lr on order for the past 16 months. They said a container just arrived (1000 cases) but the price went up from $245 to $305 and did I still want it
. I called with a credit card number that day! They said to expect shipping in the next two weeks. The lady on the phone told me they had 7000 cases on back order. 6000 people are going to be unhappy.

Man I hate to seem like a jerk but... don't you guys have ammo locally yet? Even Walmart has ammo. I haven't seen much .22. Granted the prices are high, so I wouldn't buy any right now because I'm well stocked as well. But there's definitely stock near me. Im guessing it's not the same everywhere yet?

J/k but he said he couldn't even begin to speculate on when/if you're ever going to see it. For a lead time, if we have any, you'll want to contact Customer Service and see where in the line on backorders you're at. He has access to lead times but not where in line you'd be. |
