Silicone adhesive and another piece of plastic over the holes... and then what do I put inside? A handgun. Deep enough for two layers of crap? or maybe just ammo on the bottom and then foam on top? I'm not in the mood to build a foam hot wire cutting table and pick and pluck is dildos |

Epoxy it shut, carry mags.
or Leave it as-is, mount a weapon in it, and make an HK-Briefcase type gun. |

Hmm.. I usually have a plan for what I am buying, before I buy it. How much was that case?

where should I look for hard plastic to bridge the hole? View Quote Just get a thick piece of kydex from Knife Kits. $5 bucks a sheet, various colors/thickness and they are good people. I've ordered a lot of holster making stuff from them. |

Jeebus OP. The only decision you made was to buy it. Now we gotta fix it, measure it and fill it? This thing should be a GD prize for best photoshop.

I think the case I used to carry my pistols in when flying was a 1450. Mine lacked the penis hole though

Break the top off and send it to Pelican..
Their customer service is 100% top notch. They are located about a mile from me and will replace anything for just about any reason.. They may not replace it because of the holes but if the lid was broken off the holes wouldn't matter, they will replace it free. I took a flashlight in once to get some spare bulbs.. The lady looked at my light and said "it's dirty" went in the back and grabbed me a new light, a handful of bulbs and gave them all to me, including my old light.. Score!!! Good people. |

This is what I would do. Bolt on a piece of kydex using the existing holes and seal with silicone before you bolt it on. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

How much do you want for it? I need a radio box. View Quote Thanks for the offer but I think I can salvage it enough for carrying stuff to the range ETA: don't want to come across as selling but James' inbox is full Let me back pedal, a 1170 or 1200 is what I want. I can get a 1200 on amazon for $39 shipped. If you can cover the cost of $39 shipped for a 1200 and we'll split the shipping on the 1450 to you, the 1450 is yours. Where in CO? I'm in Colo Spgs |

I bet someone from the HAM subforum could put that to use for a mobile radio.

Turn it into a self contained radio. The opening looks about the size of a car stereo. Mount batteries in the bottom, and a pair of speakers on the lid.

In my last job, I built Radio interoperability gateways and often built them into slightly larger Pelican or Storm Cases. I often used outmoded/stripped kits to make tool boxes or cases for the sales/service guys. I'd just cut out a plate of steel or aluminum, paint to match and bolt it in with the existing holes. Given the size of the box, you could use it for Travel TSA gun case, range ammo, car kit of many varieties(tools, 1st aid, etc)

I'd just bolt on a plate of metal or similar ABS, and seal the edges with RTV. |

This is GD! I went in looking for a smaller case to hold a pistol, suppressor, mags, some ammo, etc. It was $25. Street price is like $90, but that includes foam View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

If it was mine, I would screw or rivet a piece of aluminum sheet over the openings. Probably bed the aluminum on some silicone sealant in hopes it is water tight.
